COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Farzana Gandhi Design Studio practices open, collaborative, and inclusive design processes. Where appropriate, this includes bottom-up, participatory design with communities and end users, empowering them to have a voice in the process. With over 15 years of experience in working hand in hand with communities in the field and all over the world (in Africa, India, Europe, Mexico, Puerto Rico, NYC), the firm offers specialized expertise in engagement strategies, both in person and digitally. Non-profit clients, private researchers, and other collaborating design practices have relied on Farzana's expertise to deeply listen and understand the challenges faced by local constituents and to lead feedback workshops, design-build projects, and resiliency education and training activities.
